️⭐ Who are we looking for?
Within Stormshield’s SNS R&D department, which operates across two sites, you will join a managerial team of six people working together to ensure technical consistency, quality, and performance within an organization of 120 people. You will manage a team of development engineers, QA engineers, Scrum Masters, and Tech Leaders who contribute to product evolution. This team consists of around 25 engineers (both internal employees and contractors).
Based at our Issy-les-Moulineaux site, you will play a key role in coordination, team facilitation, and acting as a local liaison between the teams and R&D leadership. We are looking for the following skills:
- Solid experience in leadership and managing technical teams;
- Ability to motivate, develop, and retain talent;
- Ability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously;
- Ability to drive improvement plans;
- Knowledge of project management and agile methodologies;
- Knowledge of software product development processes and lifecycle;
- Familiarity with software tools commonly used by the teams (or equivalent): Jira, Confluence, GIT, GitLab, testing tools;
- Professional English;
- Optional (but valuable) skill: knowledge of the product’s technical environment (Networks, Security, System Development).
✏️ What are the missions of the R&D Manager?
- Leadership and project management
- Lead cross-functional projects within the R&D department;
- Manage the team’s workload according to delivery commitments;
- Define and monitor the annual budge;
- Track team performance (velocity, quality, commitment delivery);
- Act as sponsor and participant in methodology and skills improvement actions;
- Coordinate team activities with other departments to align efforts with the company's strategic objectives;
- Team management
- HR management: setting objectives, evaluations, feedback, skills management and development plans;
- Team engagement: internal communication, fostering exchanges, celebrating achievements, maintaining cohesion, energizing the team;
- Manage contractors as needed;
- Participate in recruitment alongside HR, based on workload and roadmap commitments;
- Continuous improvement
- Work closely with the managerial team to align methods, tools, and technical standards, ensuring fluid communication and consistency between the two sites;
- Ensure quality of tools and working environment in coordination with site managers, IT and HR.
