R&D Manager: Experience and Skills

️⭐ Who are we looking for?

As part of Stormshield's R&D department, you will take responsibility for a multidisciplinary team of about twenty engineers (internal and external), composed of software developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and architects. You will report directly to Stormshield's VP Engineering.

This team develops and maintains a secure connectivity solution in operational and security conditions. This platform combines a private encrypted network and access control in a Zero Trust approach. Deployed in SaaS or on-premise mode, it relies on agents installed on the main operating systems. The platform integrates advanced security mechanisms in a distributed environment with high reliability requirements.

The required skills are:

• Solid experience in leadership and technical team management;
• Ability to motivate, develop, and retain talent;
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Ability to drive improvement plans;
• Knowledge of project management and agile methodologies;
• Knowledge of software development processes and product lifecycle;
• Knowledge of SW tools, and their values, used daily by the teams (cited or equivalent tools): JIRA, Confluence, GIT, Gitlab, tests;
• Professional English;
• Optional but desirable skills: knowledge of the product's technical environment (networks, security, system development, multi-OS, SaaS architectures, and Ops/production issues).

• Leadership and project management

  • Participate in recruitment related to the workload and commitments;
  • Supervise outsourcing as needed;
