Stormshield and TheGreenBow have announced that they are strengthening their technological and business partnership. Partners for more than 15 years and with a strong base in the Spanish market, Stormshield and TheGreenBow now wish to address the industrial and defence markets together, as well as all the key accounts impacted by the NIS 2 directive.
From technological partnership to business partnership: strengthened collaboration
Serving the same goals of protecting the sensitive digital assets of companies and organisations, Stormshield and TheGreenBow announced at the 2021 FIC that they are extending their partnership, in order to provide Europe's first sovereign cybersecurity solution for robust and integrated connection protection.
In June 2022, Stormshield launched the Stormshield Network VPN Client Exclusive solution, a new IPsec VPN client based on TheGreenBow Enterprise VPN solution, which offers new advanced features and new security protocols and algorithms, and which enables integration and deployment suitable for sensitive and complex IT environments.
Mutually recognised certifications conducive to the development of sovereign European technologies
The solutions offered by Stormshield and TheGreenBow are certified in France by the ANSSI (French National Agency for the Security of Information Systems) as EAL3+ Common Criteria. This provides them with recognition in terms of technological excellence at the European level. In addition, Stormshield is the only firewall publisher to have obtained both the Spanish "Producto CCN Aprobado" and "Producto CCN Cualificado" qualifications from the CCN (Centro Criptológico Nacional - National Cryptology Centre) for its Stormshield Network Security solutions.
Thanks to these certifications and the opening of its Madrid office, coupled with its business and marketing forces, Stormshield has a strong presence and a well-developed Spanish customer base that TheGreenBow will be able to benefit from.
With the Stormshield Network VPN Client Exclusive solution, the two companies will be able to support companies and public authorities with respect to their compliance with the NIS2 directive, as adopted in Spain.
Spain, a market in full regulatory transition
The Spanish regulatory context is changing significantly with the entry into force of this new directive, which aims to strengthen the governance and management of cyber risks in the face of an increasingly sophisticated panorama of threats. European players are in prime position to support Spanish VIOs (Vitally Important Operators) and ESOs (Essential Service Operators) in their compliance. Stormshield and TheGreenBow are at the forefront of the industry thanks to their sovereign DNA, their cutting-edge technologies and their expertise with respect to VIOs and ESOs, institutions and defence industrial manufacturers.
In the face of increasing threats and new regulations, such as the NIS 2 directive, which aims to improve resilience and responsiveness to cyber incidents in the public and private sectors of the European Union, it is a priority to work together to make progress in this area. That is why, as two strategic cybersecurity players, TheGreenBow and Stormshield complement each other perfectly and now aim to jointly support Spanish companies to meet their remote access and cybersecurity needs.
