Stormshield joins forces with WorldSkills France 2020
Published on: 06 10 2020
WorldSkills France co-ordinates a vast network for promoting apprenticeships and work-study programs, mobility and young people in business professions. Since 1990, there have also been annual competitions – a sort of “Olympic games” for these business areas. In 2020, the national finals will be held in Lyon. To mark the occasion, Stormshield is partnering with the event in its competition category covering the IT Systems and Network Administrator role. We explain.
The competition will feature nearly sixty business roles from professions ranging from food through to industry, including communication and digital professions. Within the last of these categories, Stormshield is partnering with the competition in its category covering the IT Systems and Network Administrator role.
Training and provision of Stormshield equipment
This support takes two practical forms: firstly, CSNA and CSNE business expert training and the supply of Stormshield products; and secondly, the provision of access to lab spaces to enable candidates to improve their skills before being tested in the final.
In late September, the candidates met at Stormshield's premises in Lyon to prepare for the national final. It also provided an opportunity for a crash course in CSNA, with the opportunity to go into more depth between now and December. A real countdown to the final! “This partnership with IT security producer Stormshield gives candidates a chance to diversify their technical expertise,” explains Benjamin Callar, a business expert for this edition of Worldskills France. The educational support offered by Stormshield enables them to quickly acquire new skills and feel that they are receiving industry support in this challenge. Obviously, the ultimate aim would be for us to include Stormshield in the international competition, which will be held in Lyon in 2023!”
Strong enthusiasm for this competition
First and foremost, WorldSkills is about men and women with passion, such as Baptiste Gedalge, the reigning Champion of France in this “IT Systems and Network Administration” category.
In light of the current health situation, the National Finals – originally scheduled for October 2020 – have been postponed until December. So see you in Lyon from 15-17 December 2020!
