Stormshield announces that Jocelyn Krystlik is now responsible for Business Development in the Defence sector, in addition to his current role as manager of the Software Business Unit.
Jocelyn Krystlik joined Stormshield (formerly Arkoon) in 2008, working in the Professional Services team on consulting assignments. In 2010, he expanded his role to include training assignments. In 2014, he was promoted to Product Manager and Pre-Sales Manager, before becoming BU Software Manager in 2019, heading up a team of 40 people.
Strengthening our position in the defence sector
Stormshield is already well established in the defence sector, particularly in NATO markets and with companies in the defence, industrial and technology sector. In addition to the commercial relationships already established with players in the sector, the creation of a role dedicated to Business Development will enable the company to strengthen its position, engage on a deeper level and approach these markets with a more global strategic approach. For Stormshield, this also represents an opportunity to identify and develop new growth opportunities, not only in the network and communications protection segment, but also in data protection (Data Centric Security), which is increasingly embedded in tactical platforms and systems.
"This new role will enable me to engage on an even more profound level with players in the defence sector, and to strengthen the close ties we already have with our partners. It affords a great opportunity to support their development in a rapidly changing environment.
The strengthening of the Defence Business Unit comes at a time when the increasing frequency and sophistication of cyber threats to military networks and systems is now a key issue. Faced with increasingly targeted and complex attacks, defence players are stepping up their efforts to secure their critical infrastructures, protect their data and anticipate new forms of cyberthreats.
Towards higher security standards
At the same time, governments are stepping up their investment in cyber defence, while the adoption of advanced solutions such as artificial intelligence, post-quantum cryptography and zero-trust architectures is driving demand for integrated, resilient solutions. New regulations, such as NIS2 and the ARC, are also accelerating this trend by imposing higher security standards in strategic industries.
For these reasons, Stormshield is seeking to consolidate its position and strengthen its support for its partners in the defence sector.
“The defence sector, which already accounts for 30% of our business, is of central importance to our expansion strategy. The creation of this post dedicated to Business Development lends structure to our approach and strengthens our presence in fast-growing markets,” says Pierre-Yves Hentzen, CEO of Stormshield. “It reflects our commitment to supporting our partners over the long term as they build innovative, sovereign solutions.”
