Compliance & Export Control Manager: Experience and Skills

️️⭐Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a rigorous, methodical, autonomous and proactive person, able to identify and mitigate non-compliance risks and risks related to international transfers of goods, technologies and services. The candidate must combine analytical skills, integrity, a teaching mindset and good interpersonal skills to work cross‑functionally with teams (sales, purchasing, IT, R&D, logistics).

Fluent professional English, written and spoken, is required.

✏️ What is the job description for the Compliance & Export Control Manager?

In close collaboration with Airbus group organizations (Compliance & Export Control), the role ensures the implementation, monitoring and control of ethics, compliance and export‑control measures within Stormshield. The objective is to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies, to minimize legal, financial and reputational risks, and to promote a culture of integrity, transparency and accountability.

 

  1. Strategy & Compliance Governance
    • Define, implement and manage the company’s compliance and ethics program, including export policy.
    • Assess and map non‑compliance risks: corruption, fraud, conflicts of interest, data protection, export‑related risks (sanctions, embargoes, export controls), etc.
    • Maintain legal and regulatory watch (compliance and export) and advise management and operational teams on the interpretation and application of procedures.
  2. Regulatory Compliance & Export Control
    • Identify and interpret applicable regulations (EAR, ITAR, Regulation (EU) No 2021/821, international sanctions, etc.).
    • Ensure application and updating of internal compliance and export control procedures.
    • Classify goods and technologies (ECCN, customs codes) and maintain the list of products, documents, equipment, components and parts subject to restriction.
    • Manage license and authorization requests related to export.
  3. Controls & Audits
    • Establish and run internal control measures related to compliance and export risks.
    • Carry out regular checks on transactions, customers and destinations (sanctions‑list screening, end‑use verification).
    • Coordinate or perform compliance and export control audits.
    • Prepare for and support internal/external audits and provide requested documentation to competent authorities.
    • Track and verify implementation of corrective action plans.
  4. Training & Awareness
    • Deploy and lead training and awareness programs on ethics, compliance and export control.
    • Train and advise teams (sales, purchasing, R&D, logistics, IT) and support managers in adopting the rules.
    • Design and distribute educational materials and best practices.
  5. Incident Management & Reporting
    • Identify, report and handle any breach or suspected breach of compliance or export rules.
    • Implement and follow corrective and preventive actions.
    • Write incident reports and ensure reporting to internal stakeholders and the group.
  6. Group Collaboration
    • Work in coordination with Airbus group Compliance and Export Control teams to harmonize policies, procedures and lessons learned.
    • Participate in drafting and harmonizing group/subsidiary policies.
