Stormshield and ERCOM, a company specialising in digital security and a subsidiary of Thales, have announced the launch of a new IPsec VPN client.

This new sovereign IPsec VPN client solution is designed to be a competitive and sustainable offering, aligned with the sovereignty, security and compliance requirements of businesses and institutions. It is an initiative that stands out for its national and European roots, jointly led by two organisations committed to strategic autonomy.

A sovereign encryption solution

Stormshield Client VPN IPsec is a sovereign encryption solution that enhances the level of protection for communications in compliance with the LPM and II901 regulations. It integrates seamlessly with Stormshield Network Security solutions, which guarantee end-to-end secure communications for sensitive information or information classified as ‘Restricted’ (DR).

ERCOM has developed this new VPN solution, whilst Stormshield will bring it to market it from the second quarter of 2026 via its partner network.

A fully sovereign, end-to-end secure remote access solution

Stormshield can now offer a sovereign, end-to-end, multi-platform secure remote access solution based on Stormshield Network Security gateways. Subsequently, a future security certification procedure will be initiated with ANSSI.

By relying on sovereign and trusted solutions, client companies and organisations are able to guarantee continuous protection of their sensitive digital assets.
