Stormshield is now a member of the Cyber Skills Academy. This partnership will enable the company to expand its Stormshield Academy learning programme to new schools and universities, particularly internationally.
The Cyber Skills Academy is a European Union initiative launched in April 2023 to address the growing shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals in Europe. This is a one-stop shop for cybersecurity resources, training and certification, enjoying the support and active participation of industry and educational institutions. Its main objective is to bridge the talent gap in this field by coordinating and improving existing initiatives for training, retraining and upskilling cybersecurity professionals.
A new international chapter for Stormshield Academy
Since 25 November, Stormshield has been an official “Pledger”: a status that recognises companies committed to helping universities build their cybersecurity skills. This strategic commitment is helping to promote cybersecurity skills and awareness across the European Union, making a tangible contribution to building a stronger and safer digital future.
As a member of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy community, Stormshield has access to an exclusive information-sharing network, including group discussions between peers and dedicated events to highlight the Academy's initiatives and successes. This community brings together a wide range of players in the sector, with the shared ambition of continuing to develop trusted European cybersecurity. This effort is all the more crucial amid the current context, in which digital sovereignty has now become vitally important in the face of escalating cyber-warfare threats.
“We are delighted to open a new chapter for the Stormshield Academy by joining the European Cybersecurity Skills Academy, explains Xavier Prost, Training & Documentation Manager at Stormshield. Our mission – training for protection – is linked to the European initiative’s own purpose, making this partnership an obvious one. Cybersecurity cannot progress without an established culture, and this type of academy is essential to creating a robust and effective ecosystem.”
