Stormshield announces the appointment of Julien Paffumi as Director of Product Management, a key role to help grow the company’s expertise in a constantly evolving field and ensure that Stormshield’s customers and partners benefit from the robustness and resilience of Stormshield’s offerings.

Extensive knowledge of administrators’ needs

Julien Paffumi began his career in 2004 as a Quality Engineer in Arkoon's R&D department. In 2008, he turned his attention to training administrators how to use the company’s products.

This experience proved invaluable when he became Product Manager for Arkoon firewalls in 2013, and then for the centralised administration console in 2014, just after the merger between Arkoon and Netasq that created Stormshield. Between 2019 and 2023, Julien assumed a “tools and methods” role in the Product Management team, liaising between the Product and Marketing teams. Drawing on his experience in Product Management and his knowledge of the cybersecurity market, he was appointed Product Portfolio Manager in 2023. This cross-functional role enables him to take a global approach to the positioning and development of Stormshield solutions.

“I'm delighted to be able to join the Stormshield team and play a part in providing optimum protection for organisations, Julien Paffumi says. Here in the Product Management team, our aim is to offer our customers and partners appropriate, robust and resilient cybersecurity solutions while at the same time ensuring complete sovereignty over their data.”

Ensuring consistency between strategy and solutions

As part of his remit, Julien will lead the Product Management team in collectively defining the direction of the entire Stormshield portfolio. The aim is to offer Stormshield partners and customers reliable protection solutions tailored to their changing business and cybersecurity needs, as well as to geopolitical and regulatory challenges. This is based not only on regular interactions with customers, partners and the entire Stormshield cybersecurity ecosystem, but also on strengthening collaboration with the R&D, marketing and sales teams, to ensure a shared, coherent vision.

In order to offer customers and partners the most relevant solutions, as part of an overall strategy, his responsibilities also include managing the user experience (UX) team. At a time when cybersecurity skills are in short supply in companies, user experience is a major challenge for increasingly sophisticated cybersecurity solutions.
